Spotting at Philadelphia International Airport Philadelphia International Airport Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Saturday August 1, 2009 IN THIS VIDEO, I’ve spent the latter part of the afternoon and evening of August 1 at PHL shooting arrivals for the first part of the day, and departures for the remainder of the day. The main reason for going out that day was to catch an Air France 747-400 departing (which you’ll see in the video), as Air France NEVER brings in a 747, and did so because the regularly scheduled Air France flight on Thursday was cancelled, and the A330 on Friday was substituted with the 747. The normal A330 flight came in on Saturday, so you’ll see both the 747 and A330 depart, along with a HUGE handful of US Airways departures. The 27s were in use (along with 35 and 26) and I utilized three different spots for 27L departures. I and one of my friends were actually kicked out of the one spot where it appears the trees take over, and we headed over to the other spot by a car park. I usually never get lucky with special schemes, but that day I got to see the PSA and Allegheny heritage A319s depart!
